A fairly large section of metal folded to repair the off side inner sill and floor edge, then welded into place. Cutting out the old metal revealed the poor state of the wheel arch showing through. Also part of the floor pan was rotten.
This next picture shows a repair for the floor pan mid-construction.
Finally the new sill welded into place. There were also some repairs to the closing plate of the cross member that is hidden by the outer sill. There are no jacking points here as on a saloon!
Like the other side metal was shaped to repair the inner sill and floor edge.
Then the outer sill is cut off, revealing this time the remains of the rusty old sill.
