New years eve and i'm working on the mini!
Anyway, the arch/sill closer is welded up and the flange where the A panel will fold round is repaired.
Clamped up and welded an repair to the air vent hole (I filed the hole more round once it was fitted!).
Also repaired the fold that gives rigidity to the A post and where the A panel will fold round. Also had to repair the edge of the scuttle and the closing plate beneath (you can't see it in this photo but you can see that it's removed in the photo above).
Removing the wing revealed a rotten headlamp ring (this wing had previously been replaced and this area was heavily dawbed with sealant, covering up this rust?)
So it was cut out and repaired using the old bit as a template.
